Recently not really much time for birding , but one way or another I have managed to find some time to visit seaport in Hel (Long-tailed Ducks) and do some window sketching (Common Gulls). I have  added a fountain pen with waterproof ink to my drawing tools, it gives a nice vivid outline.

Works from the last few months. I was mainly working with Derwent Inktense pencils (just a few sketches with indispensable watercolors) and I must admit they do give very intense colours. Apart from colour saturation, they act almost like watercolour pencils except for being waterproof, once they are dry. Few sketches, the ones with Goldeneyes, come from Vistula Mouth. At onset of winter, once the inland water reservoirs start to freeze, they gather in huge flocks at Vistula Mouth, before they disperse. Other images were sketched either in Hel fishing port or coastal areas around it. I guess in the future I will spend some more time drawing fishing vessels, no wonder they frequent sketchbooks of many artists. Most of works depict waterbirds that can be encountered along Hel Peninsula: Red-breasted Merganser, Glaucous Gull, Purple Sandpiper, Velvet Scoter, Long-tailed Duck, Eider, Goosander, Herring Gull, Common Gull and Horned Grebe.
